Configuring virtual path

Nov 1, 2013 at 10:59 AM
Hey,
I've deployed Popforums to a server and are experience some problems with certain features-

By checking around a bit I found it's that the forum trying to reach services/images via an url where it ingores the virtual path set in the IIS.

For example:
Image

By inspecting it more deep I see that the url is:
http://myUrl.com/Forums/Authorization/Login

According to my virtual path, it should however be (according to me):
http://myUrl.com/forum/Forums/Authorization/Login

"forum" is my virtual path.

I tried reading the documentation thouroughly but I cant seem to find any comment about this. I'm probably blind.

Is there any configuration I need to make to get this working?
Have I failed to deploy it correctly?

Appreciate your guidence and thanks in advance,
Coordinator

Are you talking about the Javascript? If that's the case, you'll have to change the areaPath and contentPath in PopForums.js and PopForums.mobile.js.

Great, works much better now, thanks!

For others experience the same:
Had to change the ones jeffy mentions, aswell as the "script_url" and "content_css" in topicListSetup and loadReply in the same js-file, as they were not using the paths vars. They html-editor did not appear otherwise.

Also, the images for "newIndicator" seems not to display correctly if you have a virtual parth. "Content/PopForums" is sent in as the path parameter to the method TopicReadIndicator in HtmlHelpers. I guess it's possible to add a configuration parameter and add the virtual path before the path instead of changing all the paths in the .cshtml-files.
