In a users profile they can ignore certain forums. These wouldn't appear in forum lists or active topics. A user would have to explicitly add forums to their own ignore list.

I'm referring to specific forums. Using CoasterBuzz as an example, a user could ignore the Roller Coaster Tycoon forum. This really applies when using an "active topics page".

By forums I assume you mean topics?
